Community Futures Development Corporations support community economic development by assisting communities to strengthen and diversify their local economies.
The TBDS hosts videoconferencing services as well as business workshops on a regular basis - please see our website for upcoming schedule. We also provide small business loans up to $75,000. The TBDS manages the Self Employment Option (SEO) for two communities in the South Slave - Fort Smith, and Lutsel'Ke. We are currently implementing the National Human Resources pilot project which establishes a HR manual for small to medium businesses. This includes developing protocols for advertising, common HR practices, salary and job description development.
